As Principal of Davis Construction Strategic Advisors (DCSA), he leads a consulting practice spanning NPDES/stormwater compliance, general contractor licensing, OSHA compliance, and owner's representative services.
An instrument rated commercial and seaplane pilot with advanced instrument and ground instructor certifications, Richard brings the same precision and situational awareness to his consulting work that aviation demands. His military background as an Air Force veteran reinforces his commitment to discipline, safety, and mission accomplishment.
Richard holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Construction Management from Colorado State University, and is currently pursuing a Master of Environmental Management degree at Western Colorado University, focusing on Sustainable and Resilient Communities. His academic work centers on micro-community development and sustainable infrastructure solutions.
Beyond his professional work, Richard is an avid adventurer. In 2025, he traversed the Trans American Trail and the Continental Divide from Canada to Mexico on a KTM 690 Enduro, covering 4,300 miles by motorcycle and 8,500 miles by truck. The journey took him through Glacier, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Rocky Mountain, Arches, Canyonlands, Zion, Bryce Canyon, and Grand Canyon National Parks, exploring the depths of the Grand Canyon along the way. He summited Pikes Peak, Maroon Bells, Longs Peak, and Mount Elbert—Colorado's highest peak. He mountain biked 500 miles, hiked 200 miles, and fly fished every river from Glacier Park streams to the Missouri, Yellowstone, Colorado, Gunnison, and every tributary in Rocky Mountain National Park from Estes to Boulder. He believes in building projects that respect the land and serve communities for generations.
